Promising Growth

A few days ago, I received an email through our Inca Kids Fair Trade Store from Marcela Shine.

I was very impressed with the project Marcela is working on "Promising Growth" . This project, working directly with Colombian artisans, is helping create economic opportunities for poor villagers to support their families.

"Promising Growth" (Asi Crecemos, in Spanish) is very much like Inca Kids, a new project self-funded and hopes to be Fair Trade Certified by the end of the year.

As Marcela points out, for too long, news about Colombia have been exclusively about drugs and terrorism, preventing most of the world to learn about the beautiful country and their talented people.
